Marketing is a way to get the message out about a business or a person. Doing it well is like a fine art. Then you have Linkedin, which is a gift to business minded people, as it allows them the opportunity to create a vast network of invaluable connects whom they probably would not have been able to connect with otherwise, who may at some point help them in the success of their business. Even the first resident of DC, Barack Obama, used viral marketing via the internet, primarily Facebook, to help explode his campaign into the most successful in all of history.
